what is this, what does it do, and how do I remove it? I
am not sure what Analogx is nor how to remove it from my
system. Its not in my editable start tray. Anyone run
into this as well?

www.analogx.com

A suite of rather useful network tools. They're harmless and should be
listed in your Add/Remove programs list.

I never noticed them until I downloaded Limewire,,a file
sharing tool.

Is Analog x a part of the basic XP package?

Yeah I know about Limewire... though I don't think it installs AnalogX
tools.

Tony,

As another poster noted, AnalogX has a number of software programs...I
myself use his Proxy Server to provide internet access through my main
machine (with cable modem) to the others in the house. I've never known
his stuff to install unless you want it to, though....and proxy server
is started via the Startup folder.

You might use the "System Information" tool to see what's loading at
boot.....also, did you run a virus scan ? Running "AdAware" or "Search
and Destroy" might catch something you picked up along the way, too
<g>....
