When ive tried installing the new Direct X 9 it comes up
saying "The Software you are installing has not passed
Windows Logo testing to veryify its compatibility with
Windows Xp"
How come? is there any other downloads?

Where'd you get that version of DirectX?
If it was not direclty from Microsoft, then go to MS and download the
latest version (9.0b, if I remember correctly).

It is probably complaining about your video or sound drivers actually.
When it installs it checks the compatability of the sound and video
drivers.
Just click on the Continue Anyway button.

Good point. And thus the reason to download the latest drivers from
the video card manufacturer. But if it is a really old card, the
available drivers might still not be compatible with DirectX 9.

Hi,
This should work: Go to Start/Run and type in: regsvr32 wintrust.dll
If not, run the edit on line 189
