Standby doesn't work

Since I installed Windows XP (replacing Windows ME) I can
no longer enter Standby mode. Nothing happens when I
select Standby mode directly or indirectly. I could
enter Standby mode under Windows ME. Is there a service
pack or fix to download to correct this?

Same problem here, Standby greyed out, think it's driver related though I've
updated all that I can.
