I want to move all files from all start menus to my personal accounts
excluding certain files. I have command line program but I can't seem to
reveal the shortcuts' extentions. Is it still .lnk in XP?

yes or url for internet shortcuts. You can always type dir to see =
filenames in a command prompt. It shows the full name for all files. To =
a command prompt a shortcut is just an ordinary file..
