View Full Version : Control, Alt and Delete

Can someone help please?
I have built a new system recently based around an OEM version of Windows XP
Home. It all works fine but I am curious about one thing.
I recently clean installed my other, older PCs with upgrade versions of XP
Home. When I press Ctrl, Alt + Delete on these machines the PC immediately
shows Windows Task Mananger with the Applications, Processes and so on tabs.
With the OEM version it shows a smaller window with 'Windows XP Home
Security'. I then have to press the 'Task' button to get the task window.
How do I set it up to follow my other machines?
Many thanks in advance.

This might happen if Welcome Screen | Fast user switch is disabled and you
have enabled CTRL+ALT+DEL logon.

2. Click "Change the way user.....
3. Enable "Welcome Screen" and "Fast user switching"

Hey Ramesh,
The first update that a WinXP poweruser usually applies is SP1. Why haven't
you done so?
