I deleted the aspnet machine account,as I did not know
where it came from. Well now I know it came from
netframework 1.1. I still have netframework 1.0 and 1.1
in add\remove. Now I read by deleteing the account(only)
that I may have crashs in future. So far everything is
ok,however is there some way I can uninstall
netframeworks 1.0or 1.1 and reinstall to set things back
as they were intended. I deleted the account sometime
ago,or should I just leave things well enough alone. I
don't even know what this is for.

The ASPNET account is used when you run ASP.NET applications, which are web
applications. If you don't have it, then you may have problems when you try
to configure a web application, but you can repair this. Search your
windows\microsoft.net directory for a file called aspnet_regiis.exe -
running this should reconfigure IIS support. However, if you are never going
to be developing ASP.NET web sites on that computer, then you will never
even notice that it is gone.

I thought I just would let you know I think I found this
file aspnet_regiis.exe,if I followed the right path.
Start\my
computer\C:\windows\microsoft.net\framework\v1.1.4 322
(folder).Inside v1.1.4322 folder is blue icon with
aspnet_regiis.exe written under it. So when you say run
this,do I just click on this and it will set up the
ASPNET Machine A... account back into user accounts if I
so wish.Just for future reference,I have heard of other
people being surprised by this account when discovered as
I was. I thought it was some hacker,as you can see,I'm
very new at the computer world. Thank you for you
patience.
