On 5 Jan '04 I purchased MS Win XP upgrade to replace my
win98se Operation System on my Dell XPS T600. On 10
Jan '04 my primary C:\ drive crashed and burned. On 11
Jan '04 I replaced the drive; reinstalled Win98se and then
proceeded to upgrade to WinXP.
After the installation I was ready to re-inter the 25
digit Product Key and activate the system. I received a
notice that I was not authorized to activate the upgrade
because it had already been installed on another
computer.
I don't know how to solve this problem. I'm in a 'catch
22' situation. I am now back on Win98se and it looks like
I just flushed $108.00 down the drain.

The Activation Wizard will give you the correct number depending on the
country you tell the wizard you are in.
You need to be sitting at your PC when you call.
