Can't add a printer. Says that "Operation cannot be
completed." This might be because the spooler is not
starting. The spooler is not starting because there is a
service in there call PMOBSERV.exe running. Don't know
what PMOBSERV.exe is exactly...

any ideas?

Thanks.

Might try a spyware program such as Ad Aware or Spybot. I can't find any reference to
PMOBSERV; as close as I can come is Palomar Observatory, it is their ID number (PMOB)

Thank you for your response Mary.
The problem has been fixed by killing / stopping /
deleting all the instances of PMOBServe.exe in the
registry. And everything seems to be working fine. I did
a google search, and searched the Microsoft knowledge
base, but did not find any reference to it.
