I've been using XP for a year or two now and one thing
that is really beginning to bug me is that Start menu
programs folder (C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Start
Menu\Programs) doesn't contain all of the items that are
actually in my programs list. When I wish to organize my
program list, I have to do it by dragging and dropping and
whatnot in the actual programs list and this is tedious
and slow. I would prefer to just organize it in the
windows explorer window. Does anyone know where or how to
access the rest of the program items? Your help is
greatly appreciated.

One other quick, unrelated question....
I had to reformat my machine a few months ago.
Everything's running just fine but everytime I open up a
new window the status bar isn't turned on and I have to
manually turn it own. Is there a way I can turn on the
status bar for ALL windows folders or do i have to do it
for each and every new folder i open?

If you r-click Start>Explore all users, you will find a "Start
Menu/Programs" folder for each user. From there, you can decide where you
want the individual programs listed and arrange them to suit.
