I have a home network and one of my pc's won't go into standby. If I go to shut it down I get a message stating other people are logged onto this computer. Shutting down might cause them to lose data. No one should be logged on to the computer so I don't k
now who the message is referring to. Is there a way to find out? Is there a way to stop this from happening?

Regarding the issue where you will disconnect users when turning off the
computer: Are you using Fast User Switching, meaning that your PC is not
participating in a domain and enables one users desktop context to be kept
running while another can logon, keeping the two sessions separate?
Otherwise, you could have someone making a remote desktop connection (RDP)
or possibly accessing a share. Aside from that, you may want to investigate
spyware...start looking in your Task Manager to see if you have any
suspicious processes running.

I tested having two users logged on and the pc will still go into standby. I noticed though that if I access a file on the other pc on my network the pc I'm on won't go into standby even when I've closed the file. Any ideas?
