Empty Search Dialog Box

Hi,

Clicking on "Start-Search" brings up an empty dialog box. Nothing in the
Search Companion window. I'd appreciate any suggestions.

first try this:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;Q319949, if
that doesn't work then find the srchasst.inf file in the windows/inf
folder, right click it and "install"

Thanks for the great suggestion -- it looked like the answer, but
unfortunately it didn't work. I already have SP1 installed. Reinstalling
the .INF file didn't fix it either.
