Can anyone help with the following problem please..
I have a couple of identities on Outlook Express and
people send emails to both of my identities...the problem
is that I can use the one identity and when I try to
switch to the alternative identity by going to 'file'
then click on switch identities, my PC won;t let me do
that....so I have to shut my PC down and start again and
usually the next time I find I can switch to my other
identity and read my emails..

Can anyone tell me how to resolve this aggravating problem

You may need to install the Cumulative Update for Outlook Express. Go to
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;329084 for more
information.

I don't think the update will help you, but it certainly won't hurt you. Go
ahead and get it. Also, the next time OE locks up on you, hit Ctrl Alt
Delete. In the Processes Tab look for "msimn.exe." This is the name of OE.
Select it and hit End Process. Then reopen OE. Your OE will open in the
switched identity. This will keep you from rebooting.

BTW, I think MSIMN is the acronym for the ole Microsoft Internet Mail and
News, which was eventually named Outlook Express.
