When I click Go to my Inbox I takes me
to Outlook (on exchange system). I want it to go to my
hotmail account. I login to my .net account (hotmail) but
it still takes me to Outlook.

Greetings Greg,
I assume since you're using Exchange that you're using Windows Messenger 5? If so, Windows
Messenger 5 does not support Hotmail, and as such, will simply open your default mail handler
(which in this case is Outlook). The only thing you could do is change your default mail
handler to Hotmail, although most likely you don't want to do this -- to do so, open up
Internet Explorer, click the Tools menu, then Internet Options, then Programs tab, under the
E-mail heading choose Hotmail and click OK.

So I take it when I upgraded to 5 I must have had some
version of MSN or a version that wotked with hotmail
because it once worked fine. So do I need to install MSN
Messenger?
Thanks,
Greg

Hi Greg,
Yes, MSN Messenger still has the Hotmail feature, but MSN Messenger will not connect to an
Exchange IM Service.

I found that Windows Messenger 4.7 has an MSN addin that
allows for the hotmail support. The addin is stated to be
for Windows Messenger 4.7 or greater but it wont install
on 5.0 so I had to reinstall 4.7 and lose my exchange
functionallity. Maybe 5.0 will support both exchange and
MSN in the future.
