I just installed a new cartridge in my printer, but it won't print anything but jumbled letters. Help!

Need more details, details are very important! What kind of printer? did
you just upgrade Operating Sys? Which Operating Sys do you have? How is the
printer connected? Any action that you did other than install a new
cartridge. Because just installing a new cartridge will not more than
likely cause this problem IF nothing else has changed before and after.
