Hi,
If I upgrade to Windows XP from Windows ME, will I still be able to run Word
6.0a and Excel 5.0? Thank you!

See "How to Determine If Hardware or Software Is Compatible with
Windows XP" (http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=295322).

Hi John,
Word 6 is not compatible with Windows XP, because of its age it isn't
supported anymore so no updates are avalible to make it compatible. Both
Word 6 and Excel 5 are programs that were designed to run on Windows 3.x. As
such those programs rely on parts of the OS that have changed. You'd need to
have Word/Office 97 (with service packs) or later to use with Windows XP.
