View Full Version : svchost.exe using 100% cpu

Sounds like you have a virus. Do an internet search for
startup programs and svchost.exe. I am pretty sure that
there is one kind that is a virus with a similar name
(one is legit and one is a virus) that takes up a lot of
your system resources. McAfee and Norton antivirus
should be able to clean it.

I had the same problem went to McAfee and downloaded a program to fix
svchost problem now After I rebooted I get only a black screen. The floppy
drive will not spin up and the cd doesn't act normal. I believe it took out
the bios . hard drive functions in another computer the monitor is locked
Black when disconnected the monitor menu will work until you plug it in back
to black. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
