USB printer with 2 docking stations

Have 2 docking stations with same make USB printer. When
user undocks laptop from office and docks at home he
cannot print but when back in office can. Windows USB
creates 2 separate printers and then cannot distinguish
which one is connected! Any ideas??

Each printer has a unique ID and therefore each printer is seen as a
separate hardware device by XP.
