Hi:
I am on a network at work, and my computer has no modem.
However, I have a fax machine in my office that is also
my local printer. Is there a way to configure Microsoft
Fax to use that phone line to send and receive faxes via
the computer? Thanks

"Microsoft Fax?"
Clarify what you're using.
Windows XP Fax can serve as a client to SBS Server Fax and Windows 2003
Server Fax. Period.

As Russ says, Microsoft Fax Console only talks to a local fax modem
and (across networks) to SBS Server Fax and Windows 2003 Server Fax.
However, assuming that the fax machine in your office that "is your
local printer" is a multifunction fax/scanner/printer, it may well
have come with software to allow it to be used as a networked fax
machine. Ask your local hardware person if it did and, if so, if the
client software can be installed on your computer.
