View Full Version : Can I use DDR memory in old non-DDR motherboard?

I have some extra DDR dimm's, but have maxed-out the RAM in my DDR
computer. I do have space in older computers which use slightly
slower non-DDR ram. Will the DDR stuff run in the older boards?
I know this is not the forum for this question, but haven't found a
proper "DDR RAM" forum as yet.
Thanks!

The notches in DDR and Single data rate DIMMs are cut differently so
they will not fit in a slot not intended for them.

No it will not work
Go to a chop shop which sells used computer parts and exchange it.
