I have Norton Anti-virus, Zone Alarm, Spybot, and a pop-
up killer on my computer. I was wondering if I deleted
my Spybot, would Norton Anti-virus and Zone Alarm take
over the job of Spybot? Please e-mail me with comments
and/or suggestions.. My e-mail is

Each of these applications has a different purpose. Hence, if you remove
Spybot, the purpose it serves, to hunt down and eradicate spyware will no
longer be served.

These are peer to peer newsgroups. It is counter to the purpose of these
groups to request an individual e-mail response since questions and answers
are for the benefit of everyone who uses these boards.

You posted here, you should expect your answer here as well.

I think you have a great setup for safer web browsing, but I wonder if
spyware is still getting through? Have you found any spyware with Spybot
since you got this setup? I don't recommend you uninstall Spybot, it's
too useful.

HijackThis is a nice utility that can help you find spyware and spyware
leftovers that Spybot missed or doesn't yet know about (or you didn't
update recently). The HijackThis log can be hard to read, but there are
folks around here who can help read those logs if you ever have any
questions about possible spyware on your system.

I would definitely keep Spybot AND i would also use AdAware as well - i find
that one program will pick up spyware the other misses.

Good luck,
