My son turned off my computer via the power button. We
are on windows xp, now wehn i start it always goes to the
scan disc, says there is no problems tehn brings me to a
menu where i can select start windows normally, last known
good configuration, safe mode, safe mode networking and
safe mode self prompt. I have tried all options and to
always gets me back to the blue screen for scan disc.
even if i hit any button to skip, it brings me back to the
4 choices and i always go back to the blue screen. PLEASE
HELP THIS NOVICE!!!

Go to Start > Run and type: CMD , and hit enter. Then type in:
chkntfs /x c: , and hit enter. Reboot your computer.
