Some of my right-click menus have backup instead of open
at the top. For some reason, these programs do not open
when you double click on them, but will instead attempt
to backup. How can I fix this?

Hi Lynn,
This item was most likely added by a backup ( or other ) program which you
added. Look in the options section of your backup program it should have an
option to turn off the context menu item.

If this happens to a folder, try this:
Edit the registry to set the value data for the Default string value in the
registry keys:
Start Registry Editor (Regedit.exe).
Locate and then click the Default value under the following keys in the
registry if this problem occurs with folders:
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\shell
If this problem occurs with drives:
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Drive\shell
Click Modify on the Edit menu.
Type none in the Value data box, and then click OK.
Quit Registry Editor.
