View Full Version : Can't maximise msconfig/StartUp window

There is no maximise button in XP Home in the StartUp
items view in Msconfig. W98SE had one. Startup items seem
to have proliferated in XP, and I hate having to scroll
vertically and horizontally. Does anyone know why MS
removed this function and if there is there any way of
maximising this window please?

You can't. Even forcing it bigger with a program leaves all the original =
controls the same size/relative position.

Thanks David. Sloppy, isn't it. And I thought XP was
supposed to be an improvement on 98!

Hi,

The absence of a mere maximise button on a window that is so infrequently
used, cannot be considered as a major disadvantage of the whole operating
system.

I quite agree Anando! It's just a minor irritation. I use
msconfig quite often, mostly when I feel I have too much
rubbish eating up resources and wonder what I can switch
off.
