Tried to upgrade from Windows ME to Windows XP Pro and
lost all of my documents. Is there any way to recover
them.

I don't know what the format is in ME, but in XP try looking in
C:/Documents and Settings/Your User Name/My Documents

Ah. Did you do a "proper" upgrade or were you trying to do a clean
install?

Sounds like you didn't upgrade, you formatted. So the answer to your
question is no, they're gone. You should have implemented a secure back-up
procedure before you started fiddling.
