I installed the 'Security Update for Microsoft Data Access Components
(KB832483)' update in Windows XP Home Edition SP1 yesterday and now the
Copy/Cut/Paste functions do not always work in about all programs. The
Copy, Cut, and Paste options in the pop-up and other menus are grayed out
when I try to use them. If I try a one or more times to copy or cut
something, usually it will copy and will not let me paste it.

I have not had any problems in Windows XP like this ever and this system has
been running great for the past six months. Nothing has changed on the
system for over a month. Everything worked fine until installing the recent
security update.

Anyone else experience the same problem?

Anyone know of a solution?

Here is the solution is found to this strange problem after installing this
security update.

Set Internet Explorer 6 and Outlook Express 6 to default along with setting
Windows Messenger back to default through the 'Set Program Access and
Defaults' program and restart Windows XP. Then set Mozilla back to the
default web browser and e-mail and AIM back to default instant message
client. So far the Copy/Cut/Paste functions have been working.
