What is a USA Check Value - in terms on chkntfs?
Every time my disk checks itself on boot, it repairs three USA check values
(the same ones) that it expects to be different.
It also clean sup unused indexes 0x9.
What is all that, and why does it do it every time.

I'd boot from the XP CD, go into repair console and run chdksk /r

Took your advice, waited hours.=20
USA Check Value still persists. (as reported below)
I run two Seagate barracudus, striped; ran the seagate=20
utility, it found no problem.=20

USA Check Value still persists. (as reported below)
I run two Seagate barracudus, striped; ran the seagate=20
utility, it found no problem.=20
