mserv.exe keeps running then stopping

A Windows program, MSERV.EXE in Windows\system is constantly starting then stopping every 3 seconds: the hourglass symbol on my mouse pointer flashes every 3 seconds. I have looked under Processes in Task Manager but MSERVE.EXE is only there for a second
before it disappears - only to reappear seconds later.
Can anyone tell me what MSERVE.EXE is supposed to do and why it is doing what it is doing?

It's a trojan. Check the following urls and get yourself an antivirus
