Whenever I log in under my name on xp pro my desktop
comes up and then a little box appears that says
documents and settings and then my wifes user name and
access denied. Why does this happen if I am accessing my
own user account? Why is my wife's account trying to be
accessed while I am accessing my own. Also when my wife
accesses her account documents and settings automatically
opens.Please help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

try checking in your startup folder (start > all programs > startup) if
there is any reference or link that goes to the other account. if there is,
and it is just a document, you may delete the link. deleting the link won't
delete the actual file.

if you are using ntfs (which i think you are), you may not be able to see
the other account's documents, depending on the security he/she has placed
for his/her folders.

hope this helps.

regards.
