i just got a new ibm T40 and windows xp pro was working
fine, then all of a sudden, when I try to restart or shut
down the computer from the start menu (logged into my
user account), it thinks for a second then does nothing.
i can restart and shut down if I log off my user account.
also sometimes, while i am stilled logged into my user
account, I can restart or shut down if i hold down the
control key while i click on the restart or shut down
icon.
is there anyway that I can fix this so that i don't have
to log out before restarting or shutting down.
