View Full Version : Attempting to write files to CD

Using XP Home. I am trying to write a set of files to the CDRW for the first
time. Everything goes ok until I get to the burn command. At which point I
receive the following:
"Insert a writable disc to continue."
And... "The disc in the drive is not a writable CD or it is full".
Can't be full because I just pulled it out of the package.
? Suggestions?
Chance.

Be sure you bought writeable disks,
Others are Read Only.

Forgot to add, the CD's must be formatted before you can write to them.

Thanks for the replies. I have Memorex CD-R 700 MB
The option to format is not given.

You might look into the CD-RW disks, (Read - Write)
They should already be formatted.

Nonsense. There is no need to format a CD. The burning program handles that.
