By pure luck i managed to get my computer with win xp to
perform a self check and diplays the results of system
compatibility.I am not sure if it is unique to win xp or
the software included with my ASUS P4PE Motherboard??
Anyway it starts with registry access, continues with the
checks and dispaly results of all the hardware that were
installed eg.DVD,CD-RW,VIDEO CARD,SOUND CARD and most
important of all,the DMA values!!
Problem is i could not get my computer to do this again!!
I tried the "Run" option and the "command prompt" but
without success.Any ideas anybody!?

Hi Robert,

Place your XP CD into an appropriate drive. When the setup screen appears,
select Check System Compatibility.
