Just received AdAware newsletter (6 pages) and they make reference to
spoofed Websites. They say by receiving email in text format rather than
HTML you can see the actual URL of the web link .
I am using OE and how do I know if I am using text or HTML?
I also notice some stuff posted in this and other newsgroups and the file
has an attachment of scr. If one clicks on that will the sender be able to
transmit a virus to you? Why doesn't the ng filter out this .scr?
TIA

WRT your first question. Outlook Express Tools, Options and the select the

Appears to be another way to read your first question. If you receive an
email message and are not sure of format, click on Reply. The click on
Format. Toward the bottom, the radio selection will indicate the format of
the message. If you select the other format radio button, you can change
the format from HTML to text or text to HTML. You do not need to send the
reply. Just close the window.

By the way, an .scr file is a screensaver file.
