I have two xp computers (home and office). Both have a similar
configuration and are loaded the same kind of software.
One was purchase from Dell which is 7 months old ('Dell") and the other one
is locally made and about 8 month old ("home").
Both have the same 512M RAM and 80 mega HD. I felt that "home" computer
might need Bios upgrade.

The difference which I noticed between two computers is freezing upon
automatic WinXP update. I have not seen any problem with Dell computer so
far. But with "home" computer, mouse freezes often after automatic
updating. So I must remove the updated hotfixes or utilize system restore
at the previous point. Then, mouse freezing is gone.

I wonder what makes difference between two computers. I am wondering whether
mouse freezing has to do with the insufficient BIOS or not. In another
words, home computer needs BIOS update to avoid freezing. Since I am
illiterate in computer hardware, your advise would be appreciated. Satoshi
