Personal settings lost everytime I rerstart XP

I have this problem, plus, my settings in word and excel get lost too! I AM using an HP (Hewlett Packard) product, and KNOW this is somehow the source of the problem. The drivers for our network Officejet dl55xi are constantly crashing my machine. I ca
n't find any help at the HP website, anybody out there have similar Problems? I really would rather get back to work!
