I just got a new computer that had XP Home on it and I
tried to install XP Professional but it gets to a point
in setup where it says installing devices and just
stops. When I restert the computer, it starts as XP Pro,
but goes right back to the setup menu and does the same
thing. Thanks for any help.

What is the make and model of your new computer? It may require
special drivers.

Are you certain that you need to have XP Pro? There are very few
differences between the two versions and unless you specifically need
one of the features or functions that are found only in XP Pro your XP
Home will do exactly the same job.

One consequence of moving from XP Home to XP Pro on the new computer
is that it may have voided the warranty.

Good luck
