I purchased xp for home from tigerdirect.com. My system
went down and I started to reinstall it and it got stuck
in some type of infinite loop and would not install. I re-
formatted the hard drive and when I went to get the key
number, I found that it was missing. Anyone know who to
contact at microsoft about this without having to pay for
their support?

Dan;
If Windows XP is retail contact Microsoft:
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=295539
If Windows XP is OEM, contact Tiger Direct, Microsoft can not help.

You don't contact anyone at Microsoft for this. You contact Tiger Direct or
the manufacturer of the PC.
