In Win98SE, I had created an emergency start up floppy in
case windows could not start. Is there a way to do this
with XP? I have looked, but I cannot find anything that
addresses this.
Thanks

The Windows XP CD itself is bootable and is a Startup Disk.
It has all the necessary tools to repair XP in the event of an
unlikely failure. However, you can make your own bootable
floppy disk if you so desire:

MS has a prog that will create startup disks (6) if you cannot boot the XP
CD. Go to the MS page and look under XP support for creating bootable
floppies. They are specific as to Home orXP.
