Windows xp

Every time I send an attachment save on win xp. the
person receiving the e-mail or attachemnt can NOT open
the the file. Can you please tell me why?
Also what is the difference betweeen microsoft word and
microsoft word works processer?

That's NOTHING to do with Windows XP and ALL to do with your email
client. What is it?

Mostly it has to do with what program you use to create the file, and
whether the user on the other end has a program that can read that type of
file.
