XP Home to XP Professional

Does anyone know if you can upgrade XP Home to XP
Professional? The upgrade software does not list XP Home
as an earlier operating system that the upgrade will work
on.

Home to Professional is a valid upgrade path. Do you really need to
upgrade? Home will do almost anything that Professional will do except log
onto a Domain network. See

Unfortunately, yes I do need the upgrade and to do just
that--log onto a domain network at work. I'm assuming the
upgrade should be pretty uneventful because it is from
Home to Professional. Thanks so much for your help!

The upgrade is usually painless.
Data should be safe, back-up important data just in case.
