Installing Mocrosoft Works 2000

I hace recently acquired my PC and everything was going
ok on setting up but I have a problem when trying to
install the Microsoft Works 2000 program from the
supplied disc. The opening box begins but tells me to
close the application to Microsoft Outlook Express before
it can install the program.
My Outlook Express is not open to my knowledge - and if
it is I am at a loss to know how to close it down.
can anyone help?

Can you ignore the message. Setup programs can usually cope with open =
apps - though it is one more thing that can go wrong. If not press Ctrl =
+ Alt + Delete and look for a process called msimn.exe on processes tab =
and end it.
