Hi,

I've somehow managed to change my XP such that everything appears
larger and fuzzier. This includes the initial signon screen. I didn't
touch any of the display settings - this happened after I rebooted
after installing an update to SP1 The reason I did that? I went into
"Windows Update" and it suggested I do it. I would've thought I
already had it, but I wasn't able to figure out how to check it, so I
just went ahead and did it. Bad idea.

The only other possibility is I deleted a driver during a cleanup
effort, something that began with "s". I thought it had something to
do with an old program (it appeared in the program delete/install
menu).

Since I installed sp1, first the audio went. But that came back after
a while - xp discovered the hardware a prompted me for a re-install.

But since the reboot, xp tells me that my settings are incorrect for
my display size, and to click on a box. That takes me to the control
setting for display, but when I change the size to 1024 from 800 x 600
- it's too small! Plus, the fonts are still a kind of fading, hard to
read and variably sized in my client.

Any help is much appreciated...

Hi Sam,

Reinstall your display drivers.
