I have just installed windows XP onto my laptop and can't
seem to get the program to expand to the full width of my
laptop screen. I previously had windows 97 installed and
it was stretched right across. Do you know how to help.
Please say you do!!!!

Laptop computers require specialized drivers. Visit the support
website of the manufacturer of your laptop. Download and install
the latest video adapter drivers designed to work with Windows XP.

What kind of laptop is it? Compaq and dell have a 2nd
function key in the bottom left hand side of the keyboard.
Use this key + T. It will fill the screen to the full
width of the LCD. Do you have a black area around the
whole screen?

When you say "program" do you mean the desktop and/or the bar at the bottom?
... or do you mean a program window (Word etc) or view of a folder
(Explorer)?
