View Full Version : Folder and File View Default

Is there any way that a particular folder and file view can be made to show
up by default? XP always seems to want to bring the view back to Tiles
instead of List, as I would wish it.

When I went to Explorer and to Tools, Folder Options, File Types I
discovered I don't have a N\A Folder.

When I went to View Tab in Folder Options and scrolled down to Remember Each
Folder view settings I found that the box has already been checked.

Any ideas?

Hi Robert,

WindowsXP will remember the settings of up to 400 folders, after that it
starts forgetting some. See this from MVP Kelly for a way to increase this
number:

Line 2, increase the folder view size limit to 8000
