Check BIOS, make sure Detect hardware is active.

Hi,
Is the port it is connected to enabled in the system BIOS?

Hi Baffled,
I Wish I could tell you how to get into BIOS but it is different with each
system. Most likely you need to hit a key just after the bios screen ( The
first screen at boot up )
On Dell systems it is the Del key but may be different on yours.
This item is most likely listed in the manual which came with your system.
It may be called something else, like configuration setup or some other
name. Look at the manual it is probably there.
If that does not work look at the websight for your builder.
Good luck
Richard

When your system boots, the first screen usually has a message similar to
the following, "To enter setup hit" and gives a key, sometimes it's "ESC"
and sometimes it's something else, depends upon the machine. boot your
system and look for that message, usually on the first screen.
