When I open by new document page, a document that I typed previously always appears. I have tried to delete the information on the page but that does not work. Each time I open a new page I have to type over the text that is already on the page. Could I
have changed by global settings for word? Any body know how I can fix it?

In Windows Explorer, press Ctrl+F, and search for Normal.dot. or select Start,
Find , Files or folders, and search for Normal.dot. If your Explorer settings
have been set not to display known file extensions, you may not see the “.dot”
extension. Open Normal.dot (normal) by right-clicking on the file and choosing
Open. You can now delete any unwanted text, change margins etc and resave the
Normal.dot. It may be a good idea to make a back up copy before editing the
Normal.dot. By using this method you will be able to save any customizations you
have made including autotext entries.

If you just want a new Normal.dot, close Word and locate the Normal.dot and
rename it. Normal.old. Then restart Word. It will create a new Normal.dot.
Beware that any autotext entries and other customizations will be lost when you
create a new Normal.dot. Some are easy to salvage and some are not. Where
possible try cleaning up the Normal.dot rather than creating a new one.
