When customizing folders in My Pictures by choosing a
picture for the front of a folder, the chosen picture will
sometimes be replaced with a different picture from a
different folder. Any suggestions about a fix for this
problem would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Wayne,
It sounds like you're hitting the folder customization limit that XP has.
Please review the information in the following link:
http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,4149,1421630,00.asp
This should correct the problem of your folder thumbnails not staying the
same.
You can also create a file called either folder.jpg (for jpegs) or
folder.gif (for gifs) and place it in the particular folder. This file
would be the image that you want to show as the folder thumbnail. Without
any folder customizations, Windows XP will use this image as the folder
thumbnail. You can even mark it hidden so it doesn't show up when you are
browsing the directory in explorer.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for the tip. I went ahead and changed registry
settings as directed by the article and that seems to have
corrected the problem. Thanks again!
