Hi all,
In my Registry are all sorts of unwanted and unused keys that I want to
clean out with a Registry Cleaner. (I don't use Netscape for example but
there is a key there, where it came from I don't know). How do I backup the
registry first (for safety as advised) and then should the worst happen, how
do I restore it. Does windows have a complete backup of registry at each
restore point?
Thanks in Advance,
Ross

The registry is included in the System Restore points made daily, so if
you make a mess, use system restore to revert to a previous one. As a
second string, aa good back up program is ERUNT from

For cleaning up the Registry, I've found that RegCleaner is a handy
tool. It's especially useful in removing remnants of uninstalled
programs, and cleaning out some items that are made to start up at login
(via the INI files, Startup folder, and Registry). See
