Do you have a serive provider? If so, they should have
given you software that can set everything up for you. If
you already had service, then you should already have a
username, password, and a phone number to dial (your ISP
should be able to provide all this). Simply use those
things to make a new connection (I think you can get there
through network places, I'm not sure cause I don't have an
XP machine in fron of me at the moment).

If you have AOL, get an AOL CD (if AOL didn't come with
your computeR) and find the number your area (AOL makes
this fairly easy to do) and then follow the on screen
intrctions.

If you don't have an ISP, find one and they can give you
all the necessary information.
