User account DISAPPEARED

When I installed XP I set up an Administator account and
used it for month. I then decided to set up another
adminstator account. Later that day I turned my laptop on
and the original account had disappeared. The files are
still in existence but I can't get access since I made
the files private. When I go to switch user there is only
one option, the second account I created... any ideas how
I get access to my other files?

Download and install the new version of the free MS utility TweakUI from the
following location.

New TweakUI 2.10 for Windows XP
http://www.windows-help.net/WindowsXP/tweakui-xp.html

Start the utility and go to the Logon section. You will see an option there
to "Show Administrator on Welcome Screen".
