history-recent documents

in Windows XP or any windows amost
right click on your task bar that runs across the bottom
of your screen.
go to properties.
Click the Start menu tab.
click the customize button near the bottom
then click on advanced..
on the bottom you will see clear recent documents..
hit it ... all gone........

That same page also has a check box marked "list my most recently opened
documents". Uncheck this box to get rid of the recent documents feature
altogether.
